50 Cent is no stranger to feuds. Amid his ongoing legal battle with Rick Ross, in addition to his social media spat with Tekashi 6ix9ine, 50 Cent recently addressed whether or not reconciliation with his son, Marquise Jackson, was even possible.
Hot New Hip Hop picked up on a conversation with Van Lathan earlier today in which 50 Cent asked the question prompted by the TMZ alum. As most already know, 50 Cent and Marquise’s relationship has been in peril for many years.
Moreover, it’s been on top of the entertainment media headlines for a long time. On social media, the pair have fought back and forth including in interviews, but there are some people on the internet who think it’s possible they’ll one day come together.
For XXL Magazine, Van Lathan spoke with 50 Cent, Curtis Jackson, in an Instagram Live interview in which he said it was a “sad, sad situation.” 50 Cent went on to say that when one prays for success in the world, there are often consequences that come along with it, many of them unintended.
According to 50 Cent, Marquise’s mother had a sense of entitlement that played itself out in a number of ways, including buying Marquise a new pair of shoes when Curtis felt he hadn’t earned it. He stated this sense of entitlement, through osmosis, was learned by Marquise.
50 Cent said that Marquise was a “privileged child,” yet at the same time, he feels “deprived.” When asked if he still had love in his heart for Marquise, Jackson claimed he did at one time, but those days have since passed.
During the same interview, 50 Cent explained that Marquise had taken it upon himself to hang out with many of the men he had an adversarial relationship with. Now, Marquise is 23-years-old, and 50 Cent claims that he is a grown man and he will hold him accountable for his actions.
In the past, 50 has even gone so far as to say that he considered Tekashi 6ix9ine more of a son than this own. Those days have passed as well, unfortunately.
