According to a report from Us Magazine, Jay Smith, the 90 Day Fiancé alum, is raising money through a Go Fund Me page so he can pay for a legal team to protect him from the United States ICE agency.
Currently, the reality star is advertising the campaign on his Instagram account, posted on the 6th of July. Recently, a friend visited the 21-year-old at the detention center and said he was in need of assistance as soon as possible.
The campaign, “Help Free Jay Smith From Immigration Detention,” has raised approximately $2,500 of their $5,000 target thus far. The friend who posted it stated that the money will be used to find good legal counsel.
Hailing from Jamaica, 21, Jay launched a GoFundMe website back in January asking for a place to stay after he and his wife, Ashley Martson, split up, following Ashley’s filing for divorce. Previously, Martson changed her mind on divorce but later filed again.

The 33-year-old, Martson, filed for divorce for the second time again in April. Previously, Smith, whose real name is Conry St. Christopher Smith, turned himself into the authorities after he realized there was a warrant out for his arrest.
On the 1st of July, his estranged wife accused him of abuse and then an arrest warrant was issued for him. In May of 2018, Martson got married after they met each other while she was on vacation. They appeared together during the sixth season of the 90 Day Fiance television series.
Just one day after their wedding, the young man was using the Tinder application. Moreover, she found out in a June 23rd episode that her husband had cheated on her for the second time in a barbershop bathroom.
Afterward, she called the police and kicked him out of her home in an attempt to deport him. The reality star doesn’t feel sorry for Jay Smith, because she believes he made his own bed and is now forced to lie in it. A representative for Ashley said to Us Magazine that she has been suffering for a long time, and she’s getting revenge now.
