The 49-year-old Emmy nominee introduced Olsen, 33, at Variety’s Power of Women event on Wednesday in Los Angeles and gushed about how Olsen has been an influence on her throughout their friendship.
To begin, she introduced me to the Marvel family and patiently showed me the ropes of everything from blasts and wires to stunts and locating the truth by marking an X on a green screen. Hahn joked, “She was so patient with all of my questions: Who was Ultron?” when describing his previous experience with conversation partners. Those jewels on that glove…what are they?
She went on to say that she was quite understanding when it took her 40 minutes to get to “10-1,” the time it takes to urinate in the film industry. My bladder is tiny, and my costume is huge.
Hahn made her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in 2018’s WandaVision on Disney+, where she played the enemy to Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, the powerful and manipulative witch Agatha Harkness.
The cast remained supportive of one another even after production on the show was suspended in March 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we were in the middle of a lockdown, she brought us some worms from her garden to use in our compost. On the other hand, my husband placed a premium on making sure she was aware of their success. So, to put your mind at ease, Lizzie, know that they are doing fine.
Did I give her back a clearly store-bought loaf of bread? Yes. She agreed obligingly. Does WandaVision come with a wrapping present of a song she and her husband composed especially for me? Yes. Is it exactly as weird, funny, and one-of-a-kind as my wildest imagination had conjured it up to be? No doubt about it, Hahn agreed.
