Coincidentally, Driver’s co-star in the series, Scarlett Johansson, was the host of SNL last week. As it was noted in the title of the video, Driver will host SNL for the third time next year. He hosted the series for the first time during the 41st season.

Saturday Night Live has served as a backdrop for many stars ascension to fame in the last few years, including Eddie Murphy, who once worked on the show. Eddie famously quit the series during the height of his popularity.

According to a 3-day old report from the New York Post, it was the first time Eddie appeared on Saturday Night Live in 35 years. At the beginning of the month, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in the film, Dolemite Is My Name.

Additionally, it’s been reported by multiple outlets that he would have several stand-up specials on Netflix. This week, Mr. Murphy said to Al Roker on the Today show that hosting SNL for the first time in 35 years couldn’t have come at a better time for him.
