Earlier this month, Adele stirred controversy on social media for her appearances in pictures, showing off a brand new, much thinner figure. And while many people on Twitter and Instagram are happy for her, some are worried she’s “too skinny.”

Page Six has learned that social media commenters are “concerned” with her weight, following the debut of her new figure during Drake’s Halloween party in 2019, in addition to her recent Christmas gathering with friends.

This week, in Anguilla, Adele posed alongside Harry Styles and James Corden, and while many people considered a possible romance or even just a collaboration, others were, instead, “worried” about her figure.

One Twitter commenter wrote, “wait, Adele looks way too skinny here, should we be worried?” Other more astute social media users argued that Adele has put up with body-shaming from all angles for years; she never gets a break on that front.

Paraphrasing the comments from one user, in particular, the singer-songwriter experienced mean comments from fans and followers before, even when she was overweight, and now that she lost some of it, fans are still unhappy.

One fan stated Adele wasn’t “defined by her weight.” Adele has been in the headlines for other reasons lately, other than her weight, including her split from husband, Simon Konecki. Previously, it was reported by multiple outlets that Adele began dating a British rapper and producer, Skepta.

According to The Sun, she and Skepta had been friends for quite some time, and following her split from Konecki, she started dating the rapper instead. Following their breakup, Adele and Skepta got into contact more and more as the months went by

When the singer and Simon split, it only seemed natural for them to start hanging out more, a source previously explained. Sources have also alleged there was definitely a “special connection” there, and her friends are hoping they’ll end up in a more serious romance.

In fact, Adele and Skepta apparently enjoyed his 37th birthday together in London, England, while at the Crystal Maze.
