After nine years of marriage and one child together — Laiyah — the talented R&B singer has filed for divorce.

It has been confirmed via TMZ that Monica is the one who filed for divorce earlier this month.

It is not clear why the power couple decided to call it quits, but Monica has stopped wearing her massive wedding rings a few weeks ago.

Additionally, she has been posting hints that there is trouble in paradise for the past few days.
