Alison Hammond, the host of This Morning, has said that she was “slammed” for shouting at Meghan Markle during their first royal outing together in 2017 to mark World Aids Day. The 47-year-old ITV star talked about how she got into “so much trouble” after shouting to get the Duchess of Sussex’s attention. She was even called “disrespectful” by some people who watched the show.

Alison talked about the incident with her ITV coworker Lorraine Kelly. She said that she was “genuinely excited” to see the Suits star.

Lorraine said: “I love that about you, you know that thing where Meghan waved at you when you were shouting at her, not shouting at her. I love that about you.”

As soon as Alison said that she had been set up for that, everyone laughed.

“So many people said I didn’t respect royalty at the time. I got in so much trouble.

Then, “Oh my God.”

Alison: I want to tell you about this “You know what it was, right? In that moment, I was truly excited.

“Ruth Langford’s voice could be heard in my head saying, “Go on, Alison! Get in there!”

This made her very excited and very interested.

Michelle turned around and smiled at Lorraine. Lorraine said: “She said hi.”

It was a good thing that Lorraine called it that.
