Amber Portwood Reveals Her Side Of The Story In Domestic Abuse Case

According to a report from Us Magazine, after Amber was arrested on the 5th of July, she skipped the Teen Mom OG reunion filming in New York. Dr. Drew flew her out to Indiana to film, and things between them became tense.

In a preview clip of the show, the 29-year-old reality star becomes visibly angered when Dr. Drew asks her what happened on that day. As it was previously reported, Amber was taken into police custody due to her fight with Andrew Glennon, her boyfriend.

She was subsequently charged with one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and two counts of domestic battery. Reportedly, Portwood had a machete on her while Andrew was holding their 15-month-old son, James.

Behind the camera, the reality star could be heard saying to her team that she really wanted to get her side of the story out into the world, but she needed some “assurance” first. Amber is currently barred from speaking on the matter due to the legal battle.

This past month, Andrew spoke with US Weekly and claimed the Teen Mom OG star threatened him more than once during their romance. The producer who spoke with the outlet claimed the mindset and “financial abuse” perpetrated has never been “more clear.”

Andrew stated that Amber was taking possession and control of all the money coming into the household. He explained that with Amber, threats became a regular part of life. Furthermore, Glennon stated all he really wants is a good life, but he believes Portwood has different ideas.

According to the reality star, Andrew, Amber is concerned about her personal life and plans, rather than that of the family. Glennon says he has put all of his money into the family account for the sake of providing for them, including a travel budget, life, food, jewelry, as well as health expenses and travels.

Previously, Amber’s ex-boyfriend stated that he didn’t believe the story about her. Matt Baier said to reporters from TMZ that while he and Amber had fought on occasion, it never got to that level.
