According to a report from Today.com, Amy Schumer just learned quickly that giving birth to a child is pretty challenging. Moreover, a mother (and father) has to expend much of their energy, getting up in the middle of the night to tend to the baby’s needs.

Earlier this week, Amy gave birth to a boy named Gene, and she posted a selfie on her Instagram featuring the little guy. Posted on the morning of the 10th of May, Friday, Amy wrote in the caption beneath the photo, “New kid, who dis?”

As it was previously reported, the 37-year-old revealed she and her man gave birth to their very first child together on Sunday, taking the opportunity to refer to Meghan also giving birth to her child as well. Amy explained that she and her man gave birth to their very own “royal baby.”

On Tuesday, Amy revealed the child’s name is Gene Attell Fischer, with many people believing that she named the baby after the legendary comedian, Dave Attell, who also had a role in her film, Trainwreck, from 2015.

Amy welcomed the baby with her husband, Chris, whom she just started dating following her ended romance with Ben Hanisch, who told Us Weekly earlier this week that he had nothing but joy for Amy and Chris. Amy had her baby with Chris Fischer, who is one year older than her.

On the 13th of February, 2018, it was stated by Us Weekly that Chris and Amy had started dating following snapshots captured of the couple enjoying a night out at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

Chris is a chef, who first became a big fan of food when he was a kid. His grandfather owned Beetlebung Farm in the 1950s, establishing his roots in food as a kid. From a very young age, Chris knew all about cooking and food.

He worked as a sous chef for many years at the Mario Batali’s Babbo in New York City. Reportedly, Chris and Amy met through their mutual friend, Jake Gyllenhaal.
