Amy Schumer Says She Feared Returning To Work Following The Birth Of Her Son

According to a report from Page Six, Amy Schumer says it’s great to finally get back to work after giving birth to her son, Gene, earlier this year. The comedienne captioned a photo of herself holding her little baby boy, and Amy claimed she was still the type of person who aspires to higher goals and dreams, on top of being a mother.

Schumer stated it felt really great to get back to her career, however, it didn’t come without emotional turmoil. The star said she suffered emotionally when she had to leave him after he turned three-months-old. For a few days, she cried because she missed him.

“But it’s mostly good to be back,” the Trainwreck star added, stating that the hiatus from work really helped her get back to a good place mentally. Now, she appreciates her time with her child even more than before.

The 38-year-old Trainwreck star admitted she and her 35-year-old husband, Chris Fischer, were lucky to have such great help around the house, that not a lot of other people have. Schumer stated she has it “a lot easier” than other people, but she merely wanted to share her experience.

Just a couple of weeks after having the child with her man, Schumer put on a stand-up show, and for whatever reason, a few of her fans on social media were upset.

The Trainwreck alum posted a photo of her giving her child breast milk, and she derisively thanked all of the people online who “shamed” her for doing stand-up for the first time in months.

Despite Amy’s great past few years, including her relationship with Chris Fischer, and her new baby boy, Gene, the star has encountered some criticism before for a number of reasons.

In the comedy world, Amy Schumer has come under attack for supposedly stealing the jokes of others, including from stars like Tammi Pescatelli, Wendy Liebman, and Patrice O’Neal, who passed away back in 2011 from a stroke related to type two diabetes.
