In recent months, comedian Amy Schumer has been extremely candid while documenting her life at home as a new mom after giving birth to her son Gene, who she welcomed with husband Chris Fischer in May 2019. She also revealed last week that she is undergoing IVF treatments to give her son a sibling. But, it turns out, there has been a lot more going on in the Schumer-Fischer household. For the past six weeks, Schumer’s ex-boyfriend Kyle Dunnigan has been living with her.
During a recent episode of The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM radio, Dunnigan – who is also a comedian – revealed that he has been living with Schumer and Fischer in their New York apartment since early December. He described the home as “so beautiful,” and told Stern that if he saw it, he’d stay too.

After telling Stern that he and Schumer “had a moment…a while ago and it was brief,” Dunnigan said that he had been living with Schumer while he’s working on her new Hulu show Love, Beth. Dunnigan said that he has his own bedroom and bathroom, and he’s enjoyed the living arrangement.
“I’ve been there for a month and a half,” said Dunnigan. “She’s been very cool. All the food is really good and free. I’m supposed to leave in three weeks, but I don’t think I’m gonna.”
In fact, he’s become so “entitled” after enjoying all of the amenities, Dunnigan says he started making demands after just two days. He did admit, though, that he’s taken things a little too far, and it’s time for him to get out. Dunnigan described the arrangement as “suspended adolescence.”
After hearing about the unique living arrangement, Stern said that if any of his writers showed up at his apartment, he would tase them.
Dunnigan has worked with Schumer for years, and he even won an Emmy in 2015 for the song Girls You Don’t Need Make Up, which he wrote for her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer. He was a writer and performer on the show during its four season run from 2013 to 2016.
Dunnigan also appeared in Schumer’s 2015 film Trainwreck, but it’s not just his fellow comedian that he gets along with. Dunnigan said that he and Fischer hit it off immediately and they often “bro out,” which includes playing chess together.
Love, Beth – Amy Schumer’s new scripted comedy series – is scheduled to premiere on Hulu in late 2020.
