The Vanderpump Rules cast recently shrunk even more when Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright revealed that they would not be returning to the show. Andy Cohen has decided to talk about the shocking news.
First things first — Variety reports that Jax Taylor was actually fired and didn’t choose to leave on his own.
This contradicts his departure statement that read: ‘The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you. Stay tuned, We can’t wait for to share what we have planned. Have a great weekend.’
The former bartender and his pregnant wife hinted that he was working on other projects. Since his co-star Stassi Schroeder was fired and is also expecting a baby, many speculate that the friends will shop a series surrounding themselves.
Meanwhile, Andy Cohen reacted to the news on his Sirius XM radio show.
‘I gotta talk about Jax and Brittany. I just have to say, I have to give it up to them. Have you seen a run on a — specifically Jax — like, Jax created so much story, drama, conversation in his eight years on that show. That’s quite a run that he had. He will go down as one of the biggest, you know, reality stars in their moment, don’t you think? That was an incredible run that they had.’
Not long after Jax got the ax, Tamara Tattles reported that Vanderpump Rules as a whole would be coming to an end.
However, a source reports that there is no show because of COVID — not because of lack of interest.
The insider went on to say that the show will bring back the cast that they have left and shake things up with new people to follow.
