Angelina Jolie May Be Coming To The Marvel Universe — In Talks For 'The Eternals'

Angelina Jolie may be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fans couldn’t be more excited. According to recent reports by The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Angelina is in talks to star in the upcoming Marvel movie The Eternals. Apparently, talks are going well enough that Angelina is on record with IMDB as being rumored for the production. As of March 29, 2019, Angelina is the only person rumored to be in the cast.

The role makes sense for Angelina who has been starring in Marvel’s partner’s Disney’s movies including Maleficent and the sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Though Angelina has kept a low public profile since splitting with Brad Pitt and undergoing an intense divorce, she has continued working.

She’s executively produced the 2019 documentary Serendipity and has several movies in post-production, including Maleficent: Mistress of Evil that is set for a premiere date on October 18, 2019.

Angelina also has the upcoming Disney movie that she produced and voices the character Stella in The One and Only Ivan. Jolie also produces and stars in the upcoming fantasy move Come Away. The movie is described as a prequel to both Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.

“Jolie has chosen the Marvel project based on the Jack Kirby-created title about superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials. While details about the movie are being kept under wraps, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that one aspect to the story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans. It is unclear whom Jolie will play. Marvel had no comment.”
