Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are officially engaged – and his ex, Anna Faris, could not be happier for him. Faris congratulated the newly engaged couple on social media shortly after Pratt popped the big question on Sunday.

“I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!” Faris noted on Instagram.

Pratt announced the exciting news on Instagram over the weekend. The Guardians of the Galaxy star shared a photo of him and Schwarzenegger embracing each other as she showed off her massive engagement ring.

“I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!” Pratt wrote alongside the pic.

Schwarzenegger and Pratt went public with their romance in June. According to Us Magazine, Schwarzenegger’s mom, Maria Shriver, introduced them because they both did a lot in church. A source later confirmed that an engagement was in the works.

Speaking of Shriver, she also shared her support for Schwarzenegger and Pratt after the engagement announcement. Shriver congratulated the couple for being “spiritual people” and sounded genuinely happy that her daughter is getting married.

Schwarzenegger’s father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has not said anything about her engagement.

Faris and Pratt, meanwhile, announced their breakup in the summer of 2017. The pair, who share a son together, confessed that they tried to make things work but finally succumbed to the pressures.

In their joint statement, the couple admitted their disappointed but promised to focus their efforts on raising their son in the best environment possible. After officially filing for divorce, the two agreed on joint custody.

While Pratt is getting ready to tie the knot, Faris is dating Michael Barrett. Last year, the actress opened up about the romance and revealed that their goal is to surround her son with love and be the best parents possible.
