Anna Faris Gets Real About Divorce And Ex-Chris Pratt’s Wedding To Katherine Schwarzenegger

Anna Faris stopped by the podcast Divorce Sucks the other day, where she got real about divorce, moving on and her ex-husband Chris Pratt’s upcoming wedding to Katherine Schwarzenegger.

The actress spoke candidly about the ease of marriage and the complexity of divorce. Faris has been married and divorced twice. Before Pratt, she was previously married to Ben Indra. They divorced in 2008. Having been through the wringer, the mother of one certainly knows what she is talking about when it comes to ending a marriage.

“The divorce untangling, it takes, you know, a year. The confusion of the simplicity of the act of getting married, which mentally you understand OK, I’m making a commitment in front of people that I love to be with this person for the rest of my life, that I love and then it’s like, you sign a paper,” Faris explained.

Moving past a divorce is not always easy, but when there is a child involved, two people have to create a new relationship. In her situation with Pratt, Faris shares they work hard to make each other comfortable in their new relationships. She has been dating Michael Barrett for almost two years, and Pratt announced his engagement to Schwarzenegger two months ago.

“Our goal was to have group Thanksgiving dinners together and to be at that place. Do we do that sooner or later? Grudge holding is not something that Chris and I do. So, we wanted to make sure, of course, that Jack was happy, but that we were happy and supportive of each other,” the Mom star shared.

Faris also praised her ex-husband, who was kind enough to give her a heads up about his proposal to Schwarzenegger. She referred to him as a wonderful person and expressed her gratitude for how close the former spouses are, despite their divorce.

“Under all of these uncoupling circumstances, I think that we are so good and respectful towards each other, and I think there is so much kindness and love, and I know we want to get to that ultimate goal, and I know it sounds lame and optimistic, but that’s what I want,” she concluded.

Life after divorce is complicated. Anna Faris, however, has one of the best attitudes around when it comes to moving on and creating a healthy environment for her son. Having a stellar cooperant in Chris Pratt doesn’t hurt, but it is genuinely all about attitude.

As for making another trip down the aisle, well the actress isn’t sure that is the cards for her. Faris doesn’t feel like she will get married again and she is okay with it.
