After Ariana Grande showed support to Florence Pugh’s relationship with Zach Braff, she told her followers that she has now decided to no longer share any personal updates about her life on social media. The singer made it clear that she is taking a ‘step back’ in the aftermath of what happened to the overly criticized couple.
As you may know, Florence and Zach’s romance was trolled quite a lot online but Ari thought it was not right or fair at all, which is why she proceeded to defend her friend.
However, in the process, she also realized once again how cruel people can be when hidden behind their computer or phone screens so, she decided that, in order to avoid getting such hate, she would no longer share personal things on her platforms.
It all started with the Little Women star posting a clip in which she told people that ‘being hateful is not trendy’ after many users slammed her relationship with Zach who is no less than 21 years older than her.
Ariana then commented: ‘oh i love and appreciate u so much. being hateful is not trendy’ a new tattoo for my chest.’
It really sounds like Ari could resonate with the actress’ sentiment since she also took to her IG Stories to discuss her own experience sharing personal things and the repercussions.
‘Sharing special, personal life things that make you happy on the internet can be traumatic. I know I have taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones as well as myself but I wanted to share this and let you know how perfectly you expressed this and how appreciated you are for doing so.’
Furthermore, she also quoted Florence: ‘I’m 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love. It is not your place and really it has nothing to do with you,’ Ariana adding: ‘I screamed.’
