There is no doubt that fans were really looking forward to seeing the singer at the Kids’ Choice Awards but this year, she was not in attendance either! Ariana Grande was nowhere to be found on the orange carpet at the Galen Center in Los Angeles tonight even though she is nominated for two awards.

Her brother, Frankie Grande, did not skip it, however, and he chatted with ET about his sister, revealing why she could not make it!

As you may remember, before her big pop music breakout, Ariana starred on Nickelodeon shows Victorious and Sam and Cat, playing the role of the latter.

Furthermore, she was also nominated in two categories this year – Favorite Song for Thank U, Next,’ as well as Favorite Female Artist.

During his Orange Carpet interview for ET, Frankie stated: ‘I am here to celebrate in person with everyone in the arena tonight. She is nominated for two awards, I really hope that she wins both of them!’

He went on to explain that he was pretty much repping his whole family, including Ariana, who is currently on tour.

‘She is on tour, so I will probably have to FaceTime her if she wins and tell her all about it. I am so excited,’ he added. How sweet!

Surely, Ari would have loved to be at the awards show if not for her conflicting schedule.

The last time she showed up was back in 2014 so she probably has fond memories and would have liked to be back this year.

But she just kicked off her Sweetener Tour on Monday, with her first stop in Albany, New York, so she is as busy as she can get.
