Ariana Grande Sparks Controversy After Supporting Planned Parenthood

According to the latest reports, Ariana Grande’s tour stopped in Atlanta for a show. It seems that she’s taking the proceeds from that show and donating everything to Planned Parenthood.

The Shade Room has more details and they are citing the info from TMZ.

TSR reported that the organization will receive a total of $300,000 from Ariana.

According to TSR, ‘Her donation comes on the heels of the state of Georgia approving the ‘Heartbeat Bill,’ which bans abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected. Since the bill’s approval, many big names have spoken out against the state’s decision.’

Since then, a lot of Hollywood studios such as Netflix and Disney have also said that they are considering stopping the filming of their projects in the state if that bill goes into effect.

TSR writes that during an interview with People magazine, Dr. Leana Wen, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund President stated the following:

‘Ariana Grande’s generous donation comes at a critical time — in Georgia and across the country, anti-women’s health politicians are trying to ban all safe, legal abortion.’

People had all kinds of reactions in the comments as you will see below.

Someone else, on the other hand, said, ‘If people knew how planned parenthood was founded and what they were founded upon they would not be happy about this smh.’

A follower wrote, ‘Donating to killing babies 😢😢. God bless Alabama for making such a bold decision.’

One person doesn’t agree and said, ‘Imagine funding abortions and thinking this is actually a good deed. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth 😖😔’

Someone else posted: ‘Yeah cause they needed it 🤨 girl bye!!! That money could’ve gone somewhere else that was put to better use, like Flint for water.’
