Arnold Schwarzenegger was attacked and drop-kicked by a crazed man at a South African fan event. The Arnold Classic Africa is one of many athletic events that features kids sporting events in multiple categories. Every May, the Arnold Classic Africa holds its major competing event in Johannesburg, Gauteng and Arnold was there on Saturday, May 18, 2019. While Arnold was signing autographs, taking selfies with fans, and just having a good time mingling, a crazed fan ran up behind him, jumped in the air and drop-kicked him in the back.
Arnold shared the video footage on his Twitter account and asked that be the video that was shared as to not give the assailant any publicity.
You may see what Arnold tweeted along with the accompanying video footage below.
“Do me a favor: instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our @ArnoldSports athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous. They’re on my Snapchat. Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.
And if you have to share the video (I get it), pick a blurry one without whatever he was yelling so he doesn’t get the spotlight.

While you can see Arnold grimace and look startled, the viral video footage has resulted in another response. Many who’ve seen the video have stated that Arnold didn’t even fall to the ground after the surprise attack. Though Arnold stated he was fine, you can see in the video that there was a direct impact to his back.
No one deserves to be assaulted in the way Arnold was, but it’s important to remember that he is 71-years-old. Though he’s the Terminator and to many of his fans indestructible, a kick to the back at his age (or any age) could cause issues.
At this point, reports say Arnold has no plans on suing the guy who reportedly shouted, “Help me I need a Lamborghini,” as he was being apprehended.
What do you think? Should Arnold Schwarzenegger sue the crazed man?
