August Alsina Reveals That He Will Be Undergoing Immunotherapy After Losing Mobility

August Alsina has been public about his personal and health struggles for years now. Unfortunately, his immune disorder seems to have taken a turn for the worse.

The singer shared a post on Instagram of himself singing a beautiful medley.

August captioned the video: ‘Update; My doctors have started me on my iv antibody Immunotherapy. In short form it’s sort of like chemo but instead, for my immune system,” he wrote. “Only in this case, not killing the cells, but encouraging my nervous system & body to rebuild.😅🤷🏽‍♂️(idk. I’m still learning).. I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been tough on my body, but there are necessary steps in order to make progress. iLLness is so humbling & I often find myself singing this song of affirmation to myself eryday, so I figured I’d share that same love, affirmation and motivation with yal, whoever may need it. iHope it speaks to u. They say that #TheBlessingIsInTheENDURING (word 2 my bruv D.Walls).’

The inspirational video comes just months after he revealed that he lost his mobility.

In an Instagram upload from July, August revealed: ‘Hi guys, it’s August. As you can probably tell, I’m in the hospital. So, here’s the stitch: I woke up one day and wasn’t able to walk. I couldn’t feel my legs and my doctor ended up admitting me into the hospital.’

Although this is a heartbreaking situation to see, fans are praising him for sharing his struggle. He often explains that he’s public about what’s going on to help other people who may be going through the same thing.
