Barack Obama Shows Support To The NBA And The WNBA After Boycotting Their Games In Sign Of Protest Following Jacob Blake's Shooting By Police!

NBA and WNBA athletes and coaches have been using their voices and protesting police brutality and racism in America after Jacob Blake was shot 7 times in the back by an officer and paralyzed. That being said, it looks like former President Barack Obama is showing support to the NBA and WNBA and praising their efforts.
Barack Obama took to his Twitter account yesterday to address the situation.
He wrote that ‘I commend the players on the @Bucks for standing up for what they believe in.’
The previous POTUS was, of course, referring to Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to boycott their playoff game with Orlando Magic following Jacob Blake’s shooting in front of his three young sons.
Barack continued his message by praising ‘coaches like @DocRivers, and the @NBA and @WNBA for setting such an example. It is going to take all of our institutions to stand up for our values.’
After the Bucks’ strike, NBA went on to also confirm that all three games that were scheduled to take place yesterday – Bucks vs. Magic, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – had to be postponed.
Furthermore, LeBron James took to his IG account to explain what ‘postponed’ really meant so that the media truly understands their stand, writing that it’s ‘Boycotted not *postponed.’
Then, Major League Baseball followed the NBA’s example and did the same.
Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds players were therefore the very first to boycott their much anticipated games that were supposed to take place yesterday as well.
All of these boycotts have been happening in sign of protest after yet another unarmed black man was shot by the police.
Jacob Blake was shot no less than seven times in the back from close range by an officer while he was trying to get into his car.
He is currently in the hospital and reports say he has been paralyzed.
