Batman and Burt Ward are both getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. The news is groundbreaking as it marks the first time a comic book hero will be given a star. Burt Ward played Robin opposite Adam West who portrayed Batman/Bruce Wayne in the 1960s series and for fans, this is a decision that has been a long-time coming. Adam West received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012. Now, Hollywood isn’t only recognizing Adam West as Batman, but the iconic character as well and his sidekick, Boy Wonder Robin who was played by Ward.

Burt Ward’s fans were dismayed that he hadn’t received a star when Adam West did, but now their stars will burn brightly together as many feel they should.

Batman isn’t the first fictional character to get a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, though he is the first superhero. He joins other fictional characters such as Big Bird, Kermit the Frog, Snoopy, Tinker Bell, Snow White, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and more.

Burt Ward is currently 73-years-old and many of his fans know that due to his expertise in martial arts, his prowess in sports, and his record-breaking speed reading skills, Burt Ward was a bit of a “Boy Wonder” in real life. The honor has set social media abuzz with many fans of both Ward’s and Batman’s sharing memorable videos and images.

Burt Ward has continued acting since starting on his first television series Batman. In addition to the Batman franchise, Burt Ward continues to do voice-over work, typically in the character of Robin/Dick Grayson. In 2016, Burt Ward voiced the role of Robin in the movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader.

Burt has also made special appearances in multiple series including Spongebob SquarePants, Robot Chicken,Futurama, The Simpsons,Clueless, and more.

He has appeared in the movies Heaven & Hell,Moving Targets,Robot Ninja, and The Under Achievers.
