The singer got candid about her mental health. Earlier today, Bebe Rexha took to her social media platform of choice, Twitter, to reveal that she has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
‘For the longest time, I did not understand why I felt so sick. Why I felt lows that just made me not want to leave my home or be around anyone and why I felt highs that would not let me sleep, would not let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why. I am bipolar and I am not ashamed anymore. That is all. (Crying my eyes out.)’ the star shared with her many followers.
Rexha also shared some great news, more precisely that she has been working on some new music and hoped that her fans would support it and continue to believe in her.
The artist made it very clear that she is going to put her heart and soul into this project which is why she expects it to be her best yet.
It’s also a lot of vulnerability that she’s showing which is why she wrote: ‘This next album will be my favorite album because I am not holding anything back anymore. I love you guys very much. And I hope that you accept me as I am.’
Not too long ago, Bebe was in attendance at the Grammys this year and was even nominated in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for the Meant to Be collab with Florida Georgia Line.
Of course, that meant a lot to her and she also revealed while on the red carpet that ‘I hate being stuck in a box.’
She was referring to the fact that the collaboration might have opened her up to new genres of music to explore, something she made clear she is willing to do.
