Ben Affleck And Lindsay Shookus Are 'In Contact' Again As Jennifer Garner Is Reportedly Getting Serious With Her New BF

Five months after their split, Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus are “back in contact,” according to a new report. Could this mean that the Triple Frontier actor and the Saturday Night Live producer are getting back together?

Just a few months after Affleck and Jennifer Garner filed for divorce, he started dating Shookus in the summer of 2017. They were together for about a year, and during the summer of 2018 they were often photographed spending time together in Los Angeles, and the two were living at his new $19 million Pacific Palisades home during her SNL break, while also occasionally visiting her family in New York.

By August the two had called it quits when Affleck’s troubles with alcohol landed him in a Malibu rehab facility for the third time. At the time, sources said that Affleck and Shookus had tried to make it work, but a bicoastal relationship was just too much.

But, just because Affleck and Shookus are talking again, it doesn’t mean they have rekindled their romance.

“They’ve known each other for years, and there have been other periods of time where they didn’t speak. But they always seem to end up talking again,” an insider recently told E! News.

Since finishing his 40-day rehab stint in October, Affleck has finalized his divorce from Garner, but they continue to have a successful co-parent relationship while raising their three kids – Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 6. The former couple and their kids attended a World Series game together last fall, and they also spent the holidays together.

Insiders say that Affleck is “in a really good place right now” when it comes to his health and his relationship with his family. After he left rehab, the Argo star told fans on Instagram that battling addiction is a difficult, lifelong struggle. And, that means that you are never really out of treatment.

Affleck added that he had received tons of support from family, colleagues, and fans, and that gives him the strength to talk about his illness.

As for Jennifer Garner, she is dating 40-year-old businessman John Miller, and the pair has kept their relationship private. However, insiders say that the couple spends a lot of time together at her home in the Pacific Palisades – which is just blocks from Ben Affleck’s house. And, there could be wedding bells in the future.
