Ben Affleck’s 2018 featured a breakup, a divorce, and a stint in rehab. However, the Gone Girl actor has put all of that behind him and is already killing it in 2019, according to insiders, and the 46-year-old is “in the best shape of his life.”
“Ben’s saying bye, bye to his dad body and baggy clothes,” a source recently told Closer Weekly. “He’s been looking different to his friends, and there’s a good reason.”

Affleck has ditched his disheveled look of oversized shirts and baggy pants and has hired a stylist and personal trainer. After completing rehab for alcohol addiction, Affleck has a new perspective on life, and he has never looked better. Considering how ripped he was when he played Batman, that’s a pretty strong statement.
“He’s lean, and his wardrobe needed to reflect that. His stylist hooked him up with a fitted wardrobe, good shoes, and Ben has been loving the results. He’s into the layered look and even put a few outfits together on his own that were very impressive,” the source explained.
The insider added that the Triple Frontier star is looking like a million bucks, and people are taking notice.
Not only is he putting in the work to improve himself, but he is also focused on spending time with his three kids – Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 6.

Cameras recently caught Ben and Seraphina out and about in Santa Monica, California, and the actor definitely looked happy and healthy.
After his divorce from Jennifer Garner and his split from ex Lindsay Shookus, (not to mention his brief fling with 23-year-old Playboy playmate Shauna Sexton) Ben is making his health, sobriety, and children his top priorities, and is reportedly taking a year off from dating.
The actor’s 40-day rehab stint last fall was this third in 17 years. And, part of his recovery is avoiding romantic entanglements, so he has zero distractions.
Garner, who drove her ex-husband to the Malibu rehab facility, is proud of Affleck’s focus on his sobriety and feels he should do whatever it takes to be healthy and happy. For her, their kids come first, and she fully supports the steps Affleck is taking so he can continue to be a great dad.
The Peppermint actress is currently busy with her own relationship and career, but insiders say that she will always be there for Affleck when he needs her. Garner is convinced that Affleck is taking his sobriety seriously, and she is happy that he is making himself better.
After Ben Affleck finished his stay in rehab, he posted a message on Instagram thanking fans for their support and said that he was fighting for himself and his family.
