Beyoncé Angers Photographers And Some Of Kobe Bryant's Fans With This Unusual Demand

Beyoncé might be facing some serious backlash, following reports that the 38-year-old singer allegedly prohibited photographers from taking pictures of her and Kobe Bryant’s children during the late NBA legend memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The diva was among the famous musicians who showed up to honor the deceased basketball player, his daughter, Gianna Bryant, and the rest of the victims of the helicopter crash, which took their lives, and she opened the event by performing two of her most iconic hits, “XO” and “Halo.”

According to Beyoncé, she chose to sing “XO” because it was allegedly one of Kobe’s favorite songs.

However, the singer’s restriction from being photographed at the event allegedly infuriated the paparazzi that were present, and it was later reported that Beyoncé’s attitude came from the fact that she wanted to have control of the snaps, which were to be shared on social media.

One source said: “It is so offensive to Kobe’s family and the fans, Beyoncé is so controlling of her image — she usually only allows approved selected images of her to be released — so no photographers at the Kobe memorial were allowed to take her picture. Really, at a memorial? Not even the family of Michael Jackson did that.”

The person claimed: “A Staples Center staffer was dispatched to make sure not a single camera was focused on the stage. The photographers couldn’t believe it. This doesn’t help Beyoncé’s image at all; it hurts her. It makes her look like a diva. The memorial wasn’t about her. The only shots of Bey that did emerge were screen grabs from TV. None of the other artists at the memorial asked for this, not Christina Aguilera, not Alicia Keys.”

Furthermore, the diva’s ban was taken as an offensive act against Kobe’s family, and many stated that the Lemonade artist was trying to exploit the event and achieve additional fame.

After Beyoncé’s appearance, the memorial was carried on by Alicia Keys, who demonstrated her piano skills by playing a touching version of “Moonlight Sonata” and Christina Aguilera contributed by singing “Ave Maria.”

Reportedly, neither Keys nor Aguilera had any objections to having their pictures taken.

Besides Kobe and Gianna, the other victims of the tragic crash were Alyssa Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zobayan.
