Bindi Irwin Engaged To Long-Time Boyfriend Chandler Powell – Here’s Why He Reminds Her Of Her Late Father Steve Irwin

Bindi Irwin is engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Chandler Powell. The only daughter of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and his wife, Terri shared her good news on social media today.

The 21-year-old, whose birthday is today, used Twitter to let her fans know she is engaged.

“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life. Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you & every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure & true happiness. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose & unconditional love,” Bindi captioned pictures of her and her fiancé.

Powell dished all the engagement details to People magazine, after sharing it has been the most beautiful day of his life to date.

“After Bindi’s birthday celebration at Australia Zoo, we had a photo shoot organized to celebrate her turning 21. Just before we started the shoot, I took her to a special part of Australia Zoo to ask the girl of my dreams to become my wife. These past five years together have been the best of my life, and we look forward to a lifetime of magical moments to come,” he shared with the weekly magazine.

Bindi also spoke to People sharing she knows Powell is her’ soulmate.”

“I’ve met my soulmate, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler. We’ve been together for nearly 6 years now, and he’s my happily ever after,” she revealed.

The Crikey! It’s the Irwins star explained her soon to be husband has so many qualities that remind her of her late father, Steve. Powell is a lover of all animals, just like the entire Irwin family. He also loves to wear khakis’, which is similar to her father.

“He loves wildlife and conservation, and he has this strength. Which is necessary when you’re jumping on crocs,” Bindi shared regarding how her man reminds her of her dad.

Bindi Irwin is engaged to her beau Chandler Powell. Over the years she has been incredibly vocal about how blessed she is have met him. They are young, but Bindi knows he is the one for her.

“He’s just always there for me. My family loves him, too, which is terrific. And it’s wonderful to find somebody who really will be there no matter what. Chandler is endlessly patient. I think that sometimes, I’m like my dad where I’m not a very patient person. I just want to do everything right now. And Chandler has unending amounts of patience. I learn a lot from him,” Bindi expressed to People magazine in 2017.
