Emotions ran high during the Voice’s semi-finals as the field was cut down from 8 to 4 contestants. But it wasn’t the stiff competition that made headlines.
In contrast to Adam Levine’s recent controversy, Blake Shelton came out of this week’s episode looking like a real gentleman for helping his female co-stars, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, make an easy transition to their chairs.
According to Country Living, Shelton frequently offers his hand to his female co-stars as they make their way off the steps and into their chairs. The polite move makes it easy for them to sit down, but it also proves that there are still a few gentlemen left in the world.
After the episode aired, fans took to Twitter to praise Shelton for being so chivalrous.
“Thank you @blakeshelton for being a gentleman and helping those beautiful ladies down the stairs,” one fan wrote, while another added, “@blakeshelton watching you hold the ladies hands as the walk down the stairs to make sure the made it down ok was heartwarming!”
Some fans wondered why there are not more guys like Shelton, while others noted how Gwen Stefani is one lucky girl. If this is the way Shelton behaves for his co-workers, we can’t imagine how well he treats his long-time girlfriend.
Speaking of Stefani, the No Doubt singer recently opened about her storybook romance with the country crooner.
Stefani and Shelton have been dating for a few years now and are no strangers to wedding rumors. Although fans expect them to tie the knot at any moment, Stefani revealed they are not in a rush to walk down the aisle.
Instead, Stefani is living in the moment and wants to cherish their romance as it currently stands. When asked if she thinks their relationship will stand the test of time, Stefani answered that she certainly hopes it does.
The couple, who started dating after going through divorces of their own, are gearing up for a busy holiday season. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani might not be engaged, but it sounds like the two are more than comfortable about where they are headed.
