Christmas was a pretty painful day for the family this year because they spent it without her, but they still made sure to honor Emmy. As fans know, back in July, Bode Miller and his wife Morgan lost their daughter after a drowning accident.

The parents, as well as the other members of the family, posed together dressed in matching clothing and in one picture, they held up a photo of the late child.

In another snap, Bode and Morgan’s ten year old daughter Neesyn Miller symbolically held a white rose in her hands, representing and honoring the angel they lost five months ago.

The mother talked about 2018 in the caption, mentioning all of the ups and downs they went through.

‘Merry Christmas to our baby girl in heaven. We miss you so much! 2018 has been a year full of overwhelming sadness and overwhelming joy. We have spent half of this year mourning and trying to heal the loss of our angel which feels like an impossible battle all the while celebrating the birth of our new son. Seeking normalcy for our kids has been our driving force forward.’

She went on to explain that ‘There is no more starting fresh after the loss of a child. So here’s to a healthy 2019 filled with personal growth and creating memories with my babies, full of smiles and laughs. Wishing everybody a special holiday season surrounded by loved ones.’

Emmy was only 19 months old when she drowned in the pool at a neighbor’s house.

Only three months after the child’s passing, Morgan welcomed a son they named Easton Vaughn Rek Miller.
