Boosie Badazz Ordered To Pay $230,000 Over Pepper Spray Dispute With Mall Security Guard

According to a report from Page Six, the Louisiana hip-hop star, Boosie Badazz, was ordered by a judge to pay a little over $233,000 to a security worker who pepper-sprayed him at a mall in Mississippi in 2017.

Boosie, whose legal name is Torrence Hatch, didn’t go to the Gulfport hearing on Tuesday, where a judge demanded he pays Glen Kerley – the security guard in the case – $233,128.

According to The Sun Herald, Torrence and his friends assaulted Glen Kerley after he asked them to leave the Edgewater Mall in April 2017. The incident occurred around the same time as the Biloxi Black Beach Weekend.

A judge said Boosie must pay the aforementioned sum of money on account of the injuries Glen suffered, including a concussion, a neck injury, and also regular visits to the neurologist approximately two years after the incident occurred.

Speaking before the US District Judge, Louis Guirola Junior, Glen said he fell to the ground and lost consciousness. It was Hatch and Anderson along with other men who repeatedly hit him while he was down for the count on the ground.

“It was just a melee of arms and feet at that point,” Kerley explained. Moreover, Kerley was hospitalized following the altercation and missed five days at work. According to The Sun Herald, Glen sued Anderson and Hatch for assault, civil conspiracy, gross negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, battery, as well as assault.

Video footage shows Hatch, along with other men, approaching the security guard and Kerley pulled out his pepper-spray and sprayed them. Earlier, Boosie Badazz was performing at a festival. Last year, fans called on Boosie to boycott the festival that year due to it supposedly being infested with stingrays.

As it was previously reported, this won’t be the first time Mr. Hatch, also known as Boosie Badazz, has been accused of a crime. In April of this year, Baton Rouge ABC’s WBZR claimed Torrence and his friend, Antonio Allen, were arrested after a traffic stop due to swerving in and out of traffic. The police discovered marijuana as well as an unregistered and loaded weapon.
