Boy Meets World Alum Danielle Fishel Shares Emotional Instagram Post Revealing Son Adler Was Born 4 Weeks Early

Boy Meets World alum Danelle Fishel has shared an emotional Instagram post with fans revealing her son Adler was born four weeks early.

Although the actress, who is best known as Topanga on the hit ABC sitcom, only just shared her news with fans, baby Adler was born on June 24th.

In her post, Fishel gets real about the nightmare week she and her husband, Jensen Karp have had as they stood by and watched their son fight for his life.

“One week ago, today, on 6/24 at 4:52 am, Adler Lawrence Karp made his entrance into the world, 4 weeks early. My water broke on 6/20, one day before my work week directing at Raven’s Home ended and my maternity leave began. I was hospitalized that night and put on magnesium sulfate because Adler was only 35 weeks old,” the 38-year-old began her post.

Fishel goes on to talk about how her situation became dire when an ultrasound was done, and fluid was discovered in baby Adler’s lungs.

“Unfortunately, after doing an ultrasound, our amazing OB discovered fluid in his lungs that was not there during our last appointment only 10 days earlier, and thus we entered a nightmare we’ll never forget. We still don’t have Adler home with us because the deeply good doctors and nurses in the NICU are working diligently to find out why the fluid is there and determine the best way to get it out. This has been the most trying week and a half of mine and @jensenkarp’s lives, but we have gotten through it with the support of our incredible family and friends who have shown up for us in unexpected ways,” the new mom expressed.

Fishel let her fans know that she and Karp struggled with sharing the news of their sons’ birth. The reason is that they are dealing with such a trying time and the paparazzi have been camped outside their house, as well as the hospital. Fishel and Karp want to focus on their son. She even asks for people to understand how fragile her family is right now and requests’ privacy.

Danielle Fishel got candid about being thrilled her baby boy Adler is born. She even shared with People magazine his middle name, Lawrence is after Karp’s father who died 11 years ago. Ironically it was also Topanga’s last name before she married her great love, Cory Matthews.

The actress revealed she can’t wait to share more details about her son with fans. However, until he is out of NCU and in his own crib, she prefers to keep information regarding Adler to herself. Fishel asked fans to pray for Adler, as well as thanked all the doctors and nurses who have given their time to her only child.
