Brad Pitt was supposed to on the set of the World War Z sequel this summer, but since that project has fallen through, he is refusing other offers and taking the opportunity to spend time with his six children – Maddox, 17,  Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, Knox, 10, and Vivienne, 10. Insiders claim that Pitt’s relationship with his oldest sons Maddox and Pax needs a lot of work after his long divorce battle with their mother, Angelina Jolie.

“He knows he faces an uphill battle with them because they were old enough to understand that things were going horribly wrong between him and Angie at the end of their marriage,” a source told OK! Magazine.

On April 12th, a judge granted Pitt and Jolie a bifurcation, which officially declared them single even though they haven’t worked out all of the details of financial assets and child custody in their divorce. The former couple announced their split in September 2016 after twelve years together, including two years of marriage.

Pitt’s oldest biological daughter, Shiloh, is looking more and more like her dad every day, and she has recently been busy with guitar lessons. Cameras recently spotted Shiloh with her guitar in hand as she walked with her music teacher in Los Angeles.

The 12-year-old was dressed casually for her lesson, wearing an oversized gray hoodie with a navy blue top and dark gray sweatpants. Shiloh was all smiles and showed off her braces while heading into class.

Both Pitt and Jolie encourage their kids to pursue their interests, and back in December Jolie told BBC Radio 4’s Today that she allows the kids to make their own choices and choose their own path.

“[My kids] all have a good rebellious streak that is wonderful and curious,” Jolie explained. “I don’t want them to be perfectly behaved little people that just say what’s absolutely appropriate because I say so … they have to find themselves.”

Jolie admitted she was a “bit of a young punk” when she was a kid, and she loves the idea of being brave in life with your choices and doing things your own way.

This fall, Jolie will star in the sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Brad Pitt’s newest movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will hit theaters in July.
