'Breaking Bad' Creator Confirms Walter White Is Still Dead In 'El Camino' But Another Famous Character Comes Back To Life

The ending of Breaking Bad left many unanswered questions for the show’s fans, even though it did a relatively good job wrapping up the overall story.

Many have continued to speculate about the show even today, years after its conclusion, with one of the main points of the debate being the fate of Walter White, the main protagonist of the series.

While the show strongly implied that Walter was dead at the end, many fans refused to believe that and have been speculating that he is actually alive.

The characters from the hit series appeared in the sequel film, El Camino on Netflix and more than 25 million households have watched the film.

The show’s own creator, Vince Gilligan, has confirmed that Walter was gone for good.

He wanted fans to know that the character would not be coming back, in a statement that seems to have put an end to most of these discussions.

He said: “Yeah, I’m gonna give you that one, Rich, because I love you so much. Yes, Walter White is dead. Yes.”

However, he did give a little hope by saying this: “It could be! Could be [in] a flashback, or a flash-forward. I’m still dead, Walter White, I don’t know what [could happen.]”

The confirmation was apparently a bit of a disappointment to many followers of the show, some of whom were still holding on to the hope that they would see their favorite character in some other form in the future once more.

However, at this point, those who were attached to Breaking Bad during its run should probably let go and move on.

The show had an amazing run during its years, and it rose to prominence as one of the most successful television productions ever, but it is probably good that it was given a proper conclusion instead of spinning it to no end like supporters have seen with many other productions in the past.

Meanwhile, Breaking Bad cast member Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike Ehrmantraut, said his character who was killed from the show will be back in El Camino.

He said: “Yes. They’ll hit me in the head for saying this, but yes. Why not? None of those guys hit very hard anyway.”
