As you may know, the internet has been fighting for Britney to be freed from her dad’s conservatorship amid reports that he’s super controlling and even that she is afraid of him!

However, according to Jamie’s attorney, he would want nothing more than for the conservatorship to end.

Unfortunately, however, as far as he is concerned, she still needs it so her dad has no choice but to continue this role he occupies in her life.

Vivian Thoreen told CNN that Jamie ‘would love nothing more than to see his daughter not need a conservatorship. Whether or not there’s an end to the conservatorship, it depends on Britney. If she wants to end the conservatorship, she can always file a petition to end it.’

The attorney claims that her client has always acted in the best interest of Britney, all throughout the 13 years he’s been her conservator!

Sure enough, Jamie has been overseeing his daughter’s estate and all of her finances since 2008.

Thoreen also added that ‘Jamie is not suggesting that he’s the perfect dad. Like any parent, he does not always see eye-to-eye on what Britney wants. But Jamie believes every decision he’s made has been in her best interest. Jamie loves Britney, and misses her very much. But he also respects her, and he wants to give her autonomy and space. Jamie is respectful of Britney’s space, and he’s also respectful of her attorney’s request he does not contact her. But the key’s Britney knows she can contact her daddy anytime and he will be there for her.’
