Britney Spears Ironically Cuts Her Hair As Conservatorship Is Extended

In an ironic twist of fate, Britney Spears cut her hair as her conservatorship was subsequently extended until at least September 2021. Britney shocked the world when she had a mental breakdown and was photographed taking buzzers to her head. That moment set off intense public scrutiny over Britney’s every move and concerns for her well-being, as well as the safety of her children. Several more, very public incidents came to a head when in 2007, it was feared she might take her own life. In 2008, Britney entered a legal conservatorship and lost the ability and jurisdiction to self-govern her life, her career, and her children.

Now, many are concerned that what was meant to protect Britney has turned into a means for others to manipulate, control, and profit off of the immensely talented superstar. Fears abound that Britney is being held hostage by the conservatorship that is holding her prisoner and robbing her from living her best life. Britney Spear’s father, Jamie Spears, has been the executor of her conservatorship but now the two are in a legal battle over her $60 million estate.

Britney shared several posts on Instagram where she showed off her new haircut — only this time, it wasn’t an act of desperation or a mental breakdown. Britney went to famed, celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos (who also cut Camila Cabello’s long locks) and requested the new hairstyle.

In a photo that she shared of her new hairstyle, Britney asked others to pray — clearly hoping that there would be good news regarding her conservatorship. You may see the caption that Britney Spears shared showing off her new haircut below.
