Britney Spears' Sons Sean And Jayden Get Temporary Restraining Order Against Her Dad — May Impact His Role As Conservator

Things seem to be getting worse for Britney Spears’ father’s relationship with his grandsons. After news surfaced that Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline renegotiated their child custody agreement, giving Kevin 70 percent of custody to her 30 percent, it was learned that Federline reportedly filed a criminal complaint alleging the children’s grandfather, Jamie Spears has physically struck one of the boys. Now, Entertainment Tonight reports that the two boys have been granted a temporary restraining order against their grandfather while the investigation into the alleged incident continues.

Since Jamie Spears has been Britney’s conservator since 2008, the new allegations of abuse and subsequent restraining order may impact Britney’s case as well. If Spears is found to be abusive, he may be removed as Britney’s conservator.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Britney’s sons, Sean Preston, 13, and Jayden James 12, (both children celebrate their birthdays in September) were granted the restraining order following an alleged incident involving Sean and Jamie Spears that reportedly took place on August 24, 2019. Reports indicate that the incident involved physical abuse involving Jamie Spears directed towards Sean.

News of the allegations against Britney’s dad has gone viral and has prompted a reaction from the #FREEBRITNEY movement. The movement stems from Britney’s fans who believe that she is not being treated fairly under her conservatorship and they support Britney in doing whatever she needs to so that she may free herself from her father’s hold.

Fans have been leaving comments on Britney Spears’ and Kevin Federline’s official Instagram pages offering their support as the ex-couple tries to navigate this new terrain.

Britney’s last Instagram post was on August 22, 2019, two days prior to the alleged incident, so it is possible that she was made aware of the allegations during that weekend.

According to ET’s report, there was an altercation between Sean and Jamie where Sean ended up locking himself in the bathroom, only to have Jamie Spears allegedly break the door down. The source who provided the information to the publication said that Sean was physically assaulted, though he had no visible marks or bruises. That report has yet to be confirmed by Britney Spears, Jamie Spears, Kevin Federline, or the police.
