While the cast and fans of Beverly Hills, 90210, continue to mourn the sudden, tragic death of star Luke Perry, his former co-star Tori Spelling is going through some serious financial trouble. And, insiders say that the mom-of-five is not happy about her salary for the upcoming 90210 reboot.
“She’s pi**ed about what she’s getting paid,” an insider told Radar Online. “She thought she’d be raking it in like they did in the ’90s. She’s getting a fraction of that.”

Sources say that Spelling can no longer command a huge salary, since “she’s only done reality TV in recent years, she’s older, and her reputation isn’t the best.”
Tori’s dad, Aaron Spelling, was the executive producer of the original 90210 which aired for ten seasons between 1990 and 2000, but he died in 2006. Now, nearly twenty years after going off the air, insiders say that Tori and the rest of the cast have diluted their value, and Tori is lucky that she landed a job.
Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, have such a mountain of debt that they need to start making some cash ASAP, but sources say her new salary won’t make a huge difference because the couple has dug themselves such an enormous financial hole.
Tori and Dean reportedly owe American Express $88,000 for an unpaid credit card bill, and the IRS is looking to collect on two federal tax liens – one for $707,487 and another for $184,390.
City National Bank has also sued the couple for an unpaid debt of over $205,000. Last month, they were served with papers to appear in court for an examination on how they can pay back the bank. If they decide not to appear, they could face arrest for being in contempt of court.
According to Fox News, the couple borrowed $400,000 from the bank but failed to pay back the entire note.

As for the 90210 reboot, it will premiere on Fox later this year, but there is a twist. This time around, the cast’s real lives and relationships will serve as inspiration. In addition to Tori, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, and Jason Priestley will play heightened versions of themselves, and the show will follow the actors as they try to launch a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot.
Shannen Doherty has not yet signed on to the project, but she has an open invitation to join at any time.
Perry had not signed on either because he was starring in CW’s Riverdale. Since he passed just days after the reboot was announced, it is not clear if they will include his death in the new show.
Tori Spelling has not commented on her ongoing financial woes.
