The young actor lost his life tragically, at the age of just 20 on July 6 and now, his parents are opening up about it for the first time ever. Cameron Boyce’s mom and dad were on Good Morning America and got candid about the night their son died, stressing that nothing seemed to be wrong before he was taken from them forever.

Libby and Victor Boyce shared with host Robin Roberts that ‘The night that he passed away, we were just out to dinner with him, only hours before. It was an entirely normal, beautiful family night out to dinner.’

In other words, while the news of his passing was shocking to fans everywhere, his family was just as shocked since he showed no signs of anything being wrong.

‘There was no indication that anything was wrong. I mean there was no way to know in hours my son would be dead. Like, it was just staggeringly crazy and horrible. And we were texting that night,’ the dad said during the interview that is set to air in its entirety tomorrow, August 15.

Cameron’s mom explained that he ‘didn’t want his epilepsy to define him.’

‘It didn’t define him. He wasn’t scared. He never complained about anything,’ the father added.

This made his sudden passing even the more shocking.

The sad news broke on July 6, stating that the talented young actor had passed away in his sleep.

A spokesperson for the pained family confirmed it via HollywoodLife: ‘It’s with a heavy heart that we report this morning we lost Cameron. He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of a medical condition for which he was getting treatment. The world’s now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through kindness and the compassion of all of who knew and loved him.’
