Cardi B commonly finds herself getting dragged by the internet and she, in turn, drags them back. Her latest Twitter moment comes after she used a racist term to describe her daughter’s eye shape.
While responding to a fan who asked how baby Kulture ended up looking like a mix of her sister Hennessy and her husband Offset, Cardi said that she believes it’s because her daughter has ‘chinky’ eyes like her sister and the Migos member does.
Some people use the term ‘chinky’ to describe a certain eye shape; however, the word can be hurtful to the Asian community because ‘Chink’ can be used as a racial slur.
Many people called her out on it. They even stated that although she may have not meant any harm she needs to acknowledge and educate herself on why it’s offensive.
After getting called out by a Twitter user, the rapper said in a post-and-delete: ‘I didn’t know that chinky eyes was a slur like wtffff I DONT KNOW F***** EVERYTHING !! We don’t even use that as an insult and I didn’t use it as an insult . Im sick of the internet.’
This comes after weeks ago when a tweet went viral after a Twitter account pointed out that they mentioned Cardi B in the LGBT show Love, Victor.
One social media user quoted the tweet and said: ‘thats crazy, considering the woman is homophobic and transphobic-‘
For reference, Cardi B defended her husband’s use of the word ‘queers’ in one of his songs where he denounced them. The couple insisted that he meant something else.

Also, before Cardi B reached the level of fame that she’s at, she went viral in a video saying that if her man was to ever cheat on her, she would trick him into sleeping with a ‘tranny’ — another offensive slur to transgendered people.
Cardi responded to the aforementioned accusation by saying she’s not homophobic because she has people close to her that are trans.
She then said that she would be getting off the internet for a few days.
Instead of claiming ignorance and blaming the internet, Cardi B should have used her drama as a teachable moment to bring light to the offensive term.
