Celine Dion Pays Tribute To Her Husband René Angélil Three Years After Passing Away

Three years after his passing, Celine Dion took to social media to pay tribute to her late husband, René Angélil. The songstress shared a pic of the man, and in the caption, she wrote: ‘My dearest René….always with me…..always will be. In loving memory… xx …’

Angelil lost his life at the age of 73 back in January of 2016.

After a long battle with throat cancer, the cause of death was determined to be a heart attack.

Dion’s late husband was also the one who managed her music career ever since she was no older than 12 years old, obviously long before they decided to get married.

Dion and Angelil had three kids together – 8 year old twins Eddy and Nelson and 17 year old Rene-Charles.

He’s also survived by his other three children from a previous relationship – Anne-Marie, Patrick, and Jean-Pierre.

Back in April, one insider shared with ET that Celine had no interest in finding love again as she still remains completely devoted to her husband.

‘Her husband was the love of her life and living without him is still incredibly painful for her. She is very conservative and is not ready to date, and she might never be.’

‘She talks about the love of her life pretty often, and she still believes that he is with her in many ways. She believes that she could never have love again comparable to Rene,’ the insider dished at the time.

It sounds like they had a love story like no other and Dion cannot forget it, nor can she forget the man she has loved for such a long time.
