Chadwick Boseman And Taylor Simone Ledward Tied The Knot In Secret Before His Passing

Following a secret battle with colon cancer that lasted for four years, Chadwick Boseman tragically lost his life at the age of only 43. According to the statement released by his family in the aftermath, the Black Panther actor ‘died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.’

The same statement also finally informed the public that back in 2016, Chadwick was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, which then progressed to stage 4, killing him after four years of treatment and surgeries.

‘A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and more, all were filmed during as well as between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the biggest honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,’ the message that shocked the whole of the internet reads.

But his struggle with the illness was not the only thing fans had not been aware of.

As it turns out, Boseman also tied the knot in secret with his girlfriend Taylor Simone Ledward before passing away.

They did know about their romance, however, the two being linked together for the first time back in 2015 when they were seen in each other’s company at the Los Angeles International Airport.

Throughout the years, they kept their relationship private but she would soon start to appear alongside her actor significant other at different premieres and red carpet events.

Furthermore, Boseman even mentioned Simone’s name during his acceptance speech at the NAACP Image Awards.

‘Simone, you’re with me every day. I have to acknowledge you right now. Love you,’ he simply said.

Finally, Ledward’s grandmother reportedly opened up about the two of them via InTouch back in 2018, telling the news outlet that ‘They respect each other. She’s very happy, and he is, too.’
