It was reported this week that Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther star, passed away on Friday night after fighting with colon cancer for four years. Page Six says the death of the actor left many fans and his entertainment industry cohorts in disarray.
Interestingly, it wasn’t known by the public that Boseman was fighting against cancer, however, reports are now indicating that Boseman spent his final months speaking with terminally ill cancer patients as he struggled with his own battle.
For instance, Chadwick spoke with terminally ill fans in 2018 at St. Jude’s hospital. They shared it on their social media account, showing the 43-year-old actor speaking with a little girl among other patients.
A representative for the hospital wrote on their Instagram that they were shocked and saddened to hear what had happened to Chadwick Boseman. They wrote in their statement that Chadwick came to visit their patients and he brought them not only toys but also “courage,” “joy,” and “inspiration.”

In the same year, Boseman started to cry when he discussed what it was like to speak with two of his fans who were dying of cancer, and all they wanted to see was the release of Black Panther before they passed away.
In 2018, Boseman worked with Jimmy Fallon as they surprised fans who wanted to see Black Panther shortly before it came out in theaters. Earlier this year, Chadwick Boseman was commemorated by his fellow actor in the scene, Denzel Washington, who reportedly paid for his schooling at the Oxford University.
On his social media, Denzel praised Chadwick as a “gentle soul” who had incredible talent. He added that Chadwick would continue his legacy in the films he left behind. Earlier this week, Boseman’s family revealed he had died after suffering from colon cancer.
Previously, fans on social media expressed their concern for the actor after a picture of him looking frail and skinny was revealed in the media. Fans online claimed the Black Panther lost all of his “strength.”
