Charlize Theron Reveals That Daughter Jackson Is Transgender And Here Is How She Handled The News

According to Charlize Theron, her 7-year-old child, Jackson, had recently come out as transgender to her. While many took the rumors lightly, given the child’s age, the situation is serious.

The child has told Theron that he is not a boy, and Theron has decided to go along with the situation.

She has explained that she wants to protect her children and see them thrive, just like any other parent out there and that she also wanted to support them in anything happening in their lives.

The Oscar-winning actress told the Daily Mail: “Yes, I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said: ‘I am not a boy! So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect, and I want to see thrive. They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.”

She added: “My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be, and I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.”

Choosing to live as another gender is a decision she is completely fine with as well, and she has started embracing the new situation in various ways.

For example, Theron has reportedly decided to only dress Jackson in girl clothes from that point forward.

Whether the child will decide to evolve on her statement in the future is hard to tell, but one thing is clear — Theron fully supports the notion of raising two daughters.

Theron added that she was thankful to her mother for raising her in such a way, allowing her to be more open to the world and accepting of the various forces that interact in people’s lives to make them who they are.

Other celebrities have stepped forward to express their support for Theron as well, and it looks like the movie star has nothing to worry about regarding the future of her family in the public eye.
