Chrissy Teigen Poses In Kim Kardashian's Controversial Skims Maternity Shapewear

Chrissy Teigen has come to the defense of her good friend’s Kim Kardashian’s maternity Skims shapewear. Kim was accused of sending the wrong message to pregnant women by launching a brand of shapewear that will smooth, tone, support, and keep in place a woman as she undergoes the changes of pregnancy. The lingerie was praised by many and attacked by others who found a slew 0f troubling issues with the product.

Some of the issues people have with the line, have to deal with a pregnant woman’s self-esteem during her pregnancy and the emotions that she deals with as her body changes. They feel that if women are wearing shapewear they will be more focused on trying to retain their pre-pregnancy weight and body and will focus less on letting nature take its course as they gain weight in order to deliver a healthy baby.

Other people are concerned that the garment itself may prove dangerous to an unborn baby as they argued that constrictive garments aren’t healthy for the baby.

Kim is sounding off on social media that the Skims maternity line isn’t about appearance, but comfort and support. She also pointed out that not only is she proud of the Skims maternity line, but pregnant woman are responding positively that the garments are providing relief from things such as lower back pain.

Chrissy Teigen was quick to don the Skims garments and tell the world how wonderful they are.

Sharing a series of video clips on her official Instagram story, where she has 31.1 million followers, Chrissy explained how and why she finds the Skims maternity line beneficial.

Chrissy wore the Skims Maternity Sculpting Short Mid Thigh that retails for $34. She paired it with the Skims Maternity Nursing Sculpting Bra that costs $42.
