The singer took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that she had lost her baby girl. Christina Perri revealed that the infant was ‘born silent’ following some pregnancy complications for which she even needed hospitalization.

Then, the baby seemingly lost the fight and passed away, sadly.

Alongside a pic of her and husband Paul Costabile holding her tiny hand, she wrote: ‘Last night we lost our baby girl. She was born silent after fighting so hard to make it to our world. she is at peace now and will live forever in our hearts🤍.’

The 34 year old star previously shared, back in July, that she was expecting!

It was, of course, huge news since it came six months after also suffering a miscarriage.

Sadly, things ended tragically once again.

Christina and her husband are also the parents to a 2 year old daughter named Carmella.

Earlier this month, Perri was hospitalized because of complications with her pregnancy.

She revealed that, after giving birth, the baby would have to undergo surgery immediately!

She told her fans via IG Stories that: ‘Basically there is a complication with the baby’s intestines. The baby now is scheduled to have an operation as soon as they arrive. We will spend some time in the hospital. We are going to prepare for [NICU], but anything could happen. We are just gonna stay hopeful. I guess the biggest thing is that we hope the baby stays inside and they can get as big as possible before this big event that they have to go through. It is just a couple more weeks, so I am gonna try to take it easy and hope for the best.’

Earlier this year, Perri also opened up about postpartum depression during an interview for ET.

‘[Motherhood] is the hardest, it is the scariest, and the most challenging thing I’ve ever been through. It’s not glamorous at all to be walking around, pumping all day and no one talks about it that much. And then it makes it feel like a secret or that it shouldn’t be talked about and that just snowballs,’ she shared at the time.
