Ciara's Ex, Future, Reportedly Canceled Performance To Avoid Her And Russell Wilson

Did Future skip a big event to avoid being confronted by Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson? The answer is both yes and no depending on who you ask.

Right before the Grammys, Future was asked to perform at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammys Gala that took place on Saturday night.

The famous rapper from Atlanta was a no-show at the gathering, and a source told Hollywood Life that he bailed out upon learning that his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Ciara, and her husband, Russell, would be there.

The person said: “Originally, Future was excited to perform at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala.”

Another source told TMZ that Future canceled the performance because it was cut short by the organizers.

Future recently made headlines after he dissed Ciara and her hubby and a person told Hollywood Life this about the matter: “Russell Wilson really has no relationship with Future at all, so he is really surprised by his comments. Ciara really only talks to Future when she has to, and she and Russell want to take the higher road in all of this and aren’t surprised by his comments.”

The insider added: “Russell treats their son just like his own and always has. The only thing that matters to Russell and Ciara are the kids, which is why they are ignoring the comments Future has made so it’s really easy for them to ignore the comments and they really aren’t surprised he’s making them.”
