Constance Wu is addressing her Fresh Off The Boat twitter drama from last spring, as well as rumors she has had serious diva behavior on the set of Hustlers.

In a matter of months, Wu had to apologize for her insane Tweets following the Fresh Off The Boat renewal, as well as discuss if there was any truth to the “diva” rumors. Once again, she is speaking out on both topics in a new with interview the Los Angeles Times.

The Twitter rant, according to the actress, was simply a response to not being able to take on an acting role she was passionate about.

“I had this moment of heat where I got upset because I had to give up a job I had been looking forward to and had been chasing for a while. It was moving to me how many people from the show reached out to me, and even on set to say, ‘Just so you know, we love you and we know who you are, and you didn’t deserve any of that stuff.’ Because they also know that I’m an actress, I can be dramatic,” Wu expressed to the newspaper.

She also feels those on the set of the ABC show know that specific behavior is not representative of her true nature.

Wu is also setting the record straight on rumors she had crazy demands on the set of Hustlers.

“A woman owning her power rather than being like, ‘Who, me?’ I think, is a threat to the patriarchy. I know some people were like, ‘Constance demanded top billing.’ No, the script had me as the lead. But it’s a juicier story to say the other stuff,” the actress replied in the interview.

Constance Wu is back at work on Fresh Off The Boat. She, as well as the rest of the cast and crew, are putting the Twitter drama behind them to focus on season six. Hustlers hits theaters in two weeks on September 12th. The actress is proud of standing up for herself, and she is also grateful for her career too.

Moving forward Wu plans on being more careful regarding what she posts online.

“I want to be careful not to blow up my profile anymore. If it happens as a natural extension of me doing the thing that I think I am meant to do, which is to be an actor, then I welcome it, and I’m grateful for it. That’s not the part of myself I’m seeking to put energy into, but it teaches me,” she said to the LA Times.
