Counting On Star Josiah Duggar Shares Cryptic Message To Lauren Swanson After Heartbreaking News

Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage shortly after tying the knot last summer. In a promo trailer, the Counting On couple opened up about the tragedy and revealed that their dreams were “dashed” in October of last year.

“A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” Swanson shared. “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married.”

After revealing what they just went through, Josiah took to Instagram to tell the world just how much Lauren means to him, even if it did come out a bit cryptic.

“I wish I was better at expressing how much you mean to me. I don’t deserve you, you are the world to me. I cannot imagine life without you. I feel so honored to be your husband. Thank you for choosing me! I love you,” Duggar shared along with a picture of the couple on their wedding day.

Duggar and Swanson exchanged vows in June of 2018. The ceremony took place in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks. The two were absolutely thrilled to get hitched and could not wait to start a family together. Everything was going great until Swanson experienced significant cramping while getting ready to attend a friend’s wedding. That same night the Counting On star suffered a miscarriage.

According to Us Magazine, Swanson and Duggar finally opened up about the miscarriage in the hopes of encouraging others who have gone through similar tragedies. The couple assured anyone who has experienced a miscarriage that they are not alone and that there is support out there. The two also thanked fans for their continued support on social media, which helped them deal with the tragedy.

The couple’s heartbreaking journey will be included in the new season of Counting On, which premieres this week. It is unclear how much the two will talk about the miscarriage, but it is pretty clear that it had a devastating effect on them.
