It looks like Criminal Minds has reached its end after a very long time on air! ET reports that CBS has renewed the show for season 15, but it is going to be its very last one!
For now, the team behind the cameras as well as in front of them is still working on season 14, so the fans still have quite a lot of content to enjoy before saying goodbye to the long running procedural for good!
Immediately after completing the episodes for this season, Deadline reports that they will go right into production for the last season, which will supposedly only consist of 10 episodes.
CBS’ EVP of current programs, Amy Reisenbach said that ‘It is the quintessential CBS hit. We’re so very proud to have aired it. It speaks to everything that we do best, which is to air quality television. It has been successful not only on air but online, in syndication, internationally for ABC [Studios].’
As fans know, the show centers around FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, dealing with profiling criminals while investigating horrible crimes.
Obviously, the series’ audience is very invested in the characters’ lives and romances as well since they had so many years with them.
That being said, there is no doubt that the viewers are looking forward to some iconic moments in the season 14 finale, including David Rossi’s wedding with Krystal – his third ex wife with whom he reunited last season.
But not everything in the storyline is as happy and carefree since there is a hint that suggests one member of the fictional team will be in some serious danger!
Are you sad Criminal Minds is coming to an end?
