In a new interview on The Breakfast Club, DaBaby addressed these criticisms. Fans of DaBaby know he blew up in 2019 with the track “Suge,” alongside the successful records, KIRK, and Baby on Baby. The rapper, who hails from Charlotte, has been on top since then.

This past week, the 28-year-old performing artist released another record called Blame it On Baby, but fans didn’t like it. Despite the fact his fans didn’t like the new album, it looks like it’s still poised to go to the number one spot on the Billboard 200.

During a phone call interview with the hosts of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy, DaBaby spoke about what he’s been up to lately and the fans’ reaction to his record. DaBaby said he was fully aware of the fans’ reception.

According to DaBaby, he dropped three albums in a row to show people that he’s not just a one-hit-wonder. However, he noticed criticisms that he had the same flow on every single song.

During his chat with the hosts, DaBaby said he didn’t have any problem “running circles around any of these n*ggas.” The performing artist went on to say that he was going to make a “conscious album” now, and he’ll do it in a day.

DaBaby went on to say that he could compete with rappers like J. Cole and Joyner Lucas, who have the reputation of creating music that’s more socially aware. DaBaby said it’s important to “milk the game,” and if he switched his flow up too much, people wouldn’t like it.

In other words, he couldn’t change his flow that much at once, because fans would be confused. The rapper explained that the way he raps now is more than sufficient, and it would be unwise to take it in any other direction.
